Payroll Support

Our client is looking for a Payroll Support candidate in Houston, TX! This is a 5-month contract opportunity and offers a starting pay rate of $32.14/hour.Job SummaryThe Payroll Support will support the accurate and timely processing of employee time and attendance data. This role handles day-to-day timekeeping transactions, resolves standard inquiries, and ensures compliance with established policies, pay rules, and deadlines.Duties and Responsibilities

• Process timekeeping transactions including time corrections, accrual updates, absences, and standard adjustments
• Monitor time entries for accuracy and completeness prior to payroll deadlines
• Resolve Tier 1–2 timekeeping inquiries via ServiceNow or designated intake channels
• Provide clear, professional responses to employees and managers
• Escalate complex or non-standard issues to Senior Associate or Supervisor
• Follow SOPs and control checkpoints to ensure data accuracy
• Identify basic data discrepancies and correct per guidelines
• Maintain documentation and audit trails as required
• Partner with payroll, HR operations, and managers as needed
• Participate in training, job shadowing, and cross-training activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–2 years of HR operations, payroll, or timekeeping experience preferred
• Experience with timekeeping systems (UKG, Oracle, Kronos, etc.) a plus
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Customer-focused mindset with clear communication skills

Advanced knowledge or skills in one or more of the following required:

• Understanding of HR operating models, shared services, and service delivery frameworks.
• Familiarity with HR compliance, regulatory frameworks, and data privacy practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA
