Payroll Tax Specialist. Natick, MA Full time Perm Position Working on Site 2 days a week About the Role
We're seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist to support payroll tax operations, compliance, and infrastructure for a multi-state organization. The ideal candidate has recent expertise in Workday and Tax processing, and a strong ability to partner across HR, Finance, IT, and external providers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support all federal, state, and local payroll tax operations, filings, and audits.
- Partner with tech vendors (Workday, MasterTax) to optimize integrations and system performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor tax legislation and implement process and system updates proactively.
- Partner with Accounting team on audits and reconciliation needs
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll tax experience, including multi-state operations.
- Recent experience in Workday Payroll and Tax processing
- Familiarity with MasterTax a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven record of taking initiative, working collaboratively, and self-motivated
- Ideal candidate will be local to the Natick, MA area and able to work onsite 2days per week/3 days remote
