Located in the heart of California’s Central Valley, Bee Sweet Citrus, Inc. is focused on innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.Job OverviewBee Sweet Citrus, Inc. is looking for an optimistic, committed, and motivated candidate who has at least 1-2 years of experience with pest control. This job will require traveling from one ranch to another which will require a valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record. Duties / ResponsibilitiesJob duties include but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for finding insects, diseases, weeds and other organisms along with implementing IPM programs and writing recommendations
- Monitor and scout fields for economic thresholds
- Evaluate chemical efficacy in fields
- Correctly use chemicals for maximum fruit quality
- Communicate with ranch managers to coordinate pesticide applications
- Comply with California Department of Pesticide Regulations
- Order chemicals and keep inventory up to date
- Manage field scouts
- Coordinate pest control operations
- Must have a clean driving record
- BS in Ag or plant science preferred
- Must be able to follow our Fleet Safety Program and Policies
- Valid PCA license
- Employee is regularly required to walk, stand for periods of time at workstation, climb stairs, and reach with hands and arms
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in extreme cold, heat, or humidity; and sometimes can include work in dusty or muddy work conditions
- $85,000 to $95,000 annually
