What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a PCU setting
• Monitor patients using GE telemetry systems and other advanced equipment
• Administer medications, including blood products and chemotherapies
• Manage IV therapy, PICC lines, and central lines
• Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and other critical changes
• Assist with procedures such as chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and external CPAP/BIPAP management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and patient safety standards
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

What You Need

• Valid Ohio RN license or appropriate state licensure
• BCLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-acuity PCU or oncology setting preferred
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and patient monitoring
• Ability to manage complex patients, including those with respiratory devices and infusion therapies
• Critical thinking and excellent communication skills

About the Assignment This assignment is located in a specialized oncology telemetry unit caring for adult and pediatric patients with solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic cancers. The unit features 36 beds, with over 24 dedicated to PCU-level care. You will provide compassionate, expert nursing to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment that values precision and teamwork.
