Job Title: RN Registered Nurse – PCU Stepdown
Location: Brooksville, FL
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent – Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Compensation:

• Base Pay: $30.76 – $41.50/hour (based on years of experience)

• Differentials: +$4.75/hour nights | +$3.00/hour weekends | +$2.00/hour with national certification

• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Days) | $15,000 (Nights)

  • Paid 2% on first/second paycheck, balance in 6-month increments

• Relocation Assistance: Available, case by case

Position Overview:
We’re looking for skilled Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown RNs to join a high-acuity 46-bed Cardiac PCU unit. Patients are continuously monitored on telemetry and include diagnoses such as Afib, RVR, and pre/post-cath. Nurses manage a 4–5:1 ratio (sometimes flex to 6:1) and care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing skills, including drip management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to cardiac PCU patients

• Monitor telemetry, manage drips, and respond quickly to clinical changes

• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

• Support a positive, patient-centered care environment

Qualifications:

• Current Florida RN license or multistate compact license (required)

• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred

• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) required

• ACLS required within 6 months of hire

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required (acute care strongly preferred; LTACH, home health, rehab considered)

• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
