PDP Supplier Quality Engineer? Horicon, WI? Competitive Hourly Rate? 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 40 Hours Per Week? 100% Onsite? Long-Term Contract Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to support product development programs, supplier quality initiatives, current production, and continuous improvement projects. This role will partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive quality planning, resolve supplier quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, process improvement, and root cause analysis within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support supplier quality planning activities for new product development and production programs.
  • Facilitate quality-related development activities including FMEA, Design Reviews, Control Plans, Risk Assessments, Supplier Audits, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Investigate supplier quality issues and drive corrective actions using structured methodologies such as 8D.
  • Coordinate supplier improvement initiatives, quality plans, Supplier Change Requests (SCRs), and Return Goods Authorizations (RGAs).
  • Analyze quality and manufacturing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply management, and supplier teams to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
  • Support continuous improvement and value improvement initiatives.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and GD&T requirements.
  • Participate in supplier audits and process verification activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, or supply management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with quality tools including:*
    • FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • SPC (Statistical Process Control)
    • NCCA / Corrective Action Processes
    • Six Sigma Methodologies
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and facilitation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supplier Audit experience
  • DPAR experience
  • Design Review experience
  • SAP knowledge (SAP-PAG and SAP-PDM)
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Experience supporting supplier quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience in agricultural, consumer products, vehicle, equipment, or manufacturing industries
