Job Description
A Pediatric Occupational Therapist is needed at a 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The hospital offers a broad range of services including a dedicated pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health, childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, and day surgery center, with PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory accreditations.The role. In this position, the Pediatric Occupational Therapist delivers evaluation and treatment services within the hospital's pediatric unit, applying clinical expertise to support functional recovery and development in pediatric patients. The therapist assesses patient needs, designs and implements individualized treatment plans, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes across the continuum of care. Documentation of patient progress and coordination with families to support therapeutic goals are central to the day-to-day work in this acute care setting.What we're looking for.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in a pediatric setting
- BLS certification required at time of submission
- All other required certifications may be obtained after hire (refer to Life Support Certification document for specifics)
- New Mexico or Compact licensure not required at time of application; must be obtained prior to start date
