About the Opportunity

Are you a passionate, creative, and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who loves helping children grow through play, movement, and meaningful connection?

We are seeking a dedicated COTA to join a vibrant, fast-paced, community-based pediatric therapy clinic in Puyallup, WA. This role provides the opportunity to work with children ages 0–21 and help them develop functional skills while building confidence and independence.

What You'll Do

  • Provide occupational therapy services to children with a variety of developmental and functional needs.
  • Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions, including feeding, social skills, handwriting, preschool, motor, and life skills groups.
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to support each child's goals and development.
  • Develop and implement individualized home programs.
  • Monitor and document progress while celebrating milestones and successes along the way.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other clinicians to support high-quality patient care.
  • What You Bring

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a valid Washington State license.
  • Associate's degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • A playful, creative spirit and genuine compassion for working with children and families.
  • Strong understanding of child development and the progression of functional skills.
  • Familiarity with neurodiversity-affirming clinical practices and a commitment to supporting children and families through this approach.
  • Flexible, team-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
  • Preferred Experience

    Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred. Experience with any of the following is especially beneficial:

  • Sensory-based approaches
  • Feeding therapy
  • Social skills programs
  • Handwriting programs
  • Previous experience in these areas is not required but will be beneficial in this role.
