This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary medical and surgical teams while contributing to the continued growth of integrated behavioral health services across Nemours Children's Health.

The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service includes psychiatry, behavioral health social work, BCBA and psychiatric nurse specialists. The team provides care for medical and surgical patients in close collaboration with a broad range of pediatric specialties, including critical care, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation, neurology, neurosurgery, palliative care, developmental medicine, pediatric psychology, and others.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in service call and coverage responsibilities.

The role also provides meaningful opportunities to contribute to program development, medical education, quality improvement, process improvement initiatives, leadership, and clinical scholarship. The incoming psychiatrist will have the opportunity to strengthen existing clinical partnerships while helping develop and support Nemours' investment in innovative therapies and care models.

Qualifications:

  • Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, consistent with institutional requirements.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in Pediatric Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based, family-centered care.

Candidates with five or more years of post-training clinical experience and those with substantial Pediatric Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry practice are highly preferred. Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients and an interest in medical education, quality improvement and program development are also highly valued. Candidates with less experience who demonstrate clinical skills and relevant consultation liaison and other experience are encouraged to apply.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation

  • Comprehensive benefits: health, life, dental, vision

  • Mortgage assistance, relocation packages and 403B with employer match, 457 retirement savings plans

  • Licensure, CME and dues allowance

  • Not-for-profit status; eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness

  • An academic appointment at Thomas Jefferson University Sidney Kimmel Medical College will be proposed at a rank commensurate with experience and performance.
