Winds of Change is looking for a Certified Peer Support Specialist who is ready to turn lived experience into meaningful impact. If you believe recovery is possible for everyone and want to walk alongside others as they build hope, confidence, and independence, this role was designed for you.

This position is community-based and relationship-driven. You won’t be sitting behind a desk—you’ll be meeting people where they are, supporting them in real-life situations, helping them navigate systems, and celebrating progress along the way. You’ll work closely with fellow Peer Support Specialists and Rehab & Support staff in a collaborative, recovery-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-on-one and group peer support grounded in shared lived experience
• Inspire hope and resilience through authentic connection
• Support individuals in building skills, confidence, and self-advocacy
• Help clients access community resources and work toward personal recovery goals
• Partner with clinical and support teams to promote a recovery-focused culture
• Model healthy boundaries, coping skills, and wellness practices

What We’re Looking For

• Current Certified Peer Support Specialist credential (required)
• Lived experience in recovery from mental health and/or substance use challenges
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Passion for advocacy and person-centered support
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries
• Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
• Someone who brings positivity and authenticity to their work

$17.50 hourly

• Client Transportation: Provide transportation for clients to their appointments as needed.
• Group Facilitation: Facilitate recovery-based group activities to support client engagement and growth.
• Assessment: Evaluate and assess factors that may hinder clients' ability to live independently or integrate into the community.
• Communication Skills Development: Address and improve communication skills in individuals to enhance their interactions.
• Symptom Management: Implement effective skills and strategies to help clients manage their symptoms.
• Social Support Development: Assist individuals in developing and strengthening their social support systems.
• Skills Adaptation: Help clients adapt skills for various life domains, including home, work, education, leisure, and social activities.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate crisis intervention when necessary to ensure client safety and well-being.
• Training Completion: Complete assigned training sessions, both in-person and through online learning programs.
• Documentation: Document daily activities and progress for each client accurately and promptly.
• Productivity Standards: Consistently meet established productivity standards.
• Shift Coverage: Cover shifts at group homes as needed, including day, evening, and overnight shifts.
• Meeting Participation: Schedule and attend required meetings to coordinate care and support for clients.
• Attendance: Maintain regular attendance to ensure continuity of care for clients.

• State Certification: Must havePeer Support Certification from the State of Montana.
• Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older (state requirement for licensing).
• Driver's License & Insurance: Must possess a current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and full automobile insurance coverage.
• HIPAA Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Certification: Must hold a valid Peer Support certification from the state of Montana.
• Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
