Internship Overview
The People & Culture Intern will support the People & Culture team with administrative tasks and key initiatives, including the implementation of a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, systems-savvy individual who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and gaining hands-on experience in HR operations.
This internship offers exposure to HR systems, employee data management, and day-to-day People & Culture operations in a fast-paced environment
All Lafayette 148 internships are 100% in-person. Preferred schedule is 3-4 days a week and can start as soon as possible.
Internship Functions:
- Provide administrative support to the People & Culture team across a variety of HR functions
- Assist with the implementation and launch of a new HRIS, including data entry, validation, and system testing
- Support data organization, reporting, and analysis to ensure accuracy during system migration
- Help audit and clean employee data to ensure consistency and integrity across systems
- Assist with documentation of HR processes and system workflows
- Support general People & Culture operations including filing, record maintenance, and updating internal resources
- Provide support for People & Culture teams and projects as needed
Desired Background & Skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Systems-savvy and comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and new technology
- Analytical mindset with the ability to review and interpret data
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
Base Pay Range:
- The base pay range for this position in New York City is $18.00; base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, and location.
