Job Description
Build the engine behind a great employee experience
We’re looking for a People Operations Coordinator who thrives on organization, precision, and making things run smoothly behind the scenes.
This is not a “sit back and observe” HR role.
You’ll be the operational backbone of the employee lifecycle — ensuring every hire, onboarding, training, and transition is executed flawlessly. If you love bringing order to chaos, tracking details others miss, and being the person everyone relies on to “make it happen”… you’ll do very well here.
?? What You’ll Own
You’ll sit at the center of People Ops, partnering with recruiting, leadership, IT, and employees to keep everything moving.
?? Hiring & Recruiting Support
Coordinate interview scheduling and keep the hiring process on track
Track candidate progress and maintain accurate records in HR systems
Initiate and monitor background checks and pre-employment steps
Ensure a smooth transition from candidate → new hire
?? Onboarding (First Impressions Matter)
Own onboarding logistics from offer acceptance through day one
Prepare documentation, system access, and required setup
Coordinate across IT, security, and hiring managers
Ensure all compliance requirements (I-9, E-Verify, etc.) are completed correctly
?? Employee Lifecycle Operations
Support offboarding processes (documentation, access removal, equipment return)
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure audit readiness
Keep HR systems (like UKG or similar) clean, organized, and up to date
?? Training & Development Support
Coordinate training schedules, assignments, and completion tracking
Maintain training records and reporting
Support internal development initiatives and programs
?? Employee Support & Internal Operations
Serve as a go-to resource for employee questions
Help manage internal communications and employee milestones
Maintain internal HR resources, templates, and documentation
Support internal portals and resource hubs

? Qualifications
Required:
2–4 years in HR coordination, recruiting coordination, or administrative operations
Experience handling sensitive or confidential information
Strong organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
Experience with HR systems (UKG, Workday, or similar)
Familiarity with onboarding, compliance, or employee lifecycle processes
Experience in structured or compliance-heavy environments (e.g., GovCon, ISO, etc.)
Understanding of HR practices and employment regulations

Remote (with occasional in-person collaboration as needed so must be located within the Greater Washington DC Metro)
