Immediate Hiring!!! MedLink Career Hub is seeking Per Diem (PRN) - GNA for a Skilled Nursing Facility/Long Term Care in Maryland Locations

- Responsible for helping residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADL’s), including bathing, feeding, dressing, skin care, positioning, ambulation, toileting, and range of motion activities.
- Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse/LPN.
- Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight, testing urine and recording intake and output information.
- Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials, transporting patients, answering the patient call lights and requests, and reporting observations of the patient condition to the licensed Nurse/LPN or appropriate personnel.
- Demonstrates appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment such as cane, crutches, walkers, lift, side rails, brace, splints, and oxygen.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques, basic wound care, and patient safety.
- Always maintain patient confidentiality.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support protocols.
- Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient’s and family’s diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity, and rights.
- Serves and protects the facility by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements.
- Knowledge of various computer systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant license in the State of Maryland
- Certified Nursing Assistant degree from an accredited institution
- At least one year of GNA experience in Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Physical, vaccination status and PPD/Chest X-Ray
