Job Title: Family/Internal Medicine Physician – Outpatient Primary Care (PERM)Location: Dothan, AlabamaPosition Overview:VHS is seeking a full-time, outpatient Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join our well-established primary care practice in Dothan, Alabama. This is a hospital-employed position within a dedicated outpatient clinic, offering a stable and rewarding opportunity to serve the community with quality healthcare.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population within the outpatient setting.
• Manage routine health concerns, chronic disease management, preventive care, and health screenings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in electronic health records.
• Participate in shared phone call duties, with an equitable workload among all providers.
• Refer patients for specialized care as necessary, utilizing in-house lab and radiology services.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Qualifications:

• BE/BC in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Valid Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Prior outpatient experience preferred but not required.

Practice Highlights:

• Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
• No inpatient responsibilities, allowing for work-life balance.
