Job Description
DEPT. SCOPE OF SERVICE:The BMH-owned or managed physician practices provide medical services in various specialties and offices including pediatrics, OB/GYN, cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery, family practice and internal medicine. The practices are staffed by physicians and other licensed providers who are supported by clinical staff (LPNs or medical assistants) and clerical staff (receptionists, transcriptionists, file clerks). Hours vary by practice.
Job Description:The Nurse Practitioner will:- Assist the Urology surgeon in diagnosing and treating urologic conditions
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement treatment and care plans
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Assist in urologic surgeries and office-based procedures
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans
- Manage post-operative and follow-up care
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff
- Adhere to universal precautions and OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards
- Work in an environment with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases
- Perform duties requiring manual dexterity, patient handling, and clinical documentation
- Support departmental operations alongside LPNs, medical assistants, and clerical staff
- Practice under a supervising physician in a physician office setting
- Not open to candidates who commute more than 1 hour
- Not accepting visa candidates
- Not open to LOCUM or LOCUM to PERM candidates
- Not open to candidates who plan to work this job in conjunction with another position
- Not accepting candidates with less than 1 year's experience
