Job Description
Salary: $112,500 - $153,000 per year.Relocation: Up to $5,000.
Shift: Afternoons (12:00 PM - 10:30 PM), rotating shifts, every other weekend.On-call: Possible.
Location: On-site in Salina, KS - relocation required.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department (ED). You will manage medication therapy, support emergency responses, develop ED-specific protocols, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. This role also includes precepting pharmacy students and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmaceutical care: medication selection, dosing, monitoring, and patient education.
- Participate in emergency response: code blue, trauma, stroke alerts.
- Develop and implement ED-specific medication protocols and quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
- Serve as preceptor for pharmacy students and residents.
- Participate on hospital committees to support patient safety and care excellence.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program- Required.
- Clinical or hospital pharmacy experience- Preferred.
- Emergency Department experience- Preferred.
- Residency training- Preferred.
- Kansas Pharmacist License or eligibility- Highly Preferred.
