Serving a diverse rural population across Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, we foster a collaborative, mission-driven environment dedicated to excellence in healthcare.Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join our Medical Staff on a full-time basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient care in a supportive environment, with an emphasis on team collaboration, professional growth, and community impact.Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct medical care for hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care emphasizing safety, quality, and compassion.
- Collaborate effectively with specialists, primary care providers, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, CRNAs, Emergency Medicine physicians, and other ancillary services.
- Coordinate comprehensive care plans and facilitate smooth transitions across care settings.
- Order, interpret, and respond to laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies to guide patient management.
- Document all patient encounters, care plans, and clinical outcomes accurately and promptly in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies, including codes and rapid response situations.
- Manage ventilator settings and support respiratory care as needed.
- Participate in clinical rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
- Engage in hospital committees, performance evaluations, and ongoing quality improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and ethical practices.
- Note: No procedural skills are required for this role.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Valid DEA license.
- Candidates must be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- No overnight travel or procedures required.
- Candidates should not have plans to commute more than 1 hour to the hospital.
- We are currently unable to accept visa sponsorship, LOCUM, or LOCUM-to-PERM candidates.
- Open to licensed physicians seeking a permanent position focused on hospital medicine.
- Salary Range: $300,000 $350,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and certification.
