Position: Inpatient Psychiatrist – Georgetown, DE (Perm)Location: 21655 Biden Avenue, Georgetown, DE 19947, United StatesSchedule: Monday through Friday, Day Shifts (No weekends, no on-call)Position Type: Permanent, Full-TimeAbout the Role:SUN Behavioral Health Delaware is seeking a committed Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team in the historic town of Georgetown, DE. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a stable and rewarding environment to provide comprehensive psychiatric care.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient psychiatric services to a diverse patient population within a 99-bed facility.
• Manage an average caseload of approximately 18 patients per day.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and oversee pharmacotherapy regimens.
• Manage involuntary commitments in accordance with state regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Advanced Practice Providers.
• Document patient interactions and treatment progress using Wellsky EMR.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and state/federal healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with active DEA registration.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Must have a valid and current medical license for the state of Delaware.
• Experience in managing a variety of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, eating disorders, personality disorders, developmental disorders, and psychotic disorders.
• Familiarity with involuntary commitment procedures and pharmacotherapy.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Candidate Requirements:

• Permanent interest; this position is not open to locum tenens applicants.
• BLS certification required.
• Prior experience working in inpatient settings preferred but not mandatory.
