The ideal candidate will perform advanced imaging procedures using computed tomography equipment, ensuring the highest quality diagnostic images for patient evaluation. • Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and post-processing equipment to produce high-resolution cross-sectional images of internal body structures.
• Set up and adjust protocols tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring optimal image quality and minimizing repeat examinations.
• Perform general radiography procedures as needed, maintaining versatility across imaging modalities.
• Position patients accurately based on anatomical considerations and age-specific protocols, providing clear explanations to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
• Critically evaluate images for diagnostic quality, ensuring adherence to technical standards and maintaining a repeat rate at or below national benchmarks.
• Assist radiologists during invasive procedures such as biopsies and drainages, providing precise patient positioning and technical support.
• Obtain comprehensive patient histories, communicate effectively about procedures, and ensure all pertinent information is conveyed to the radiologist.
• Maintain all documentation, data collection, and image archiving with accuracy and efficiency.
• Uphold positive patient identification practices and foster a compassionate, caring environment.
• Stay current with advances in diagnostic imaging techniques, procedures, and safety protocols through ongoing research and education.
• Communicate delays or issues proactively to patients and team members, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent patient experience.

Qualifications:

• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating CT and radiographic equipment.
• Strong understanding of diagnostic imaging protocols, patient positioning, and anatomy.
• Ability to evaluate image quality critically and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically.
• Flexibility to cover after-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not mandatory; a commitment to learning and professional development is essential.
