What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional diagnostic images.
• Position patients and adjust techniques/protocols to meet patient needs while maintaining high image quality.
• Operate CT scanner, power injector, and post-processing equipment; adjust protocols as necessary.
• Perform CT procedures for scheduled exams, inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients.
• Maintain repeat rates at or below the national standard and critique completed procedures for diagnostic quality.
• Communicate with patients (including explaining delays and procedures) and obtain thorough, pertinent patient history.
• Independently assist the radiologist during invasive procedures such as biopsies and abscess drainages, as needed.
