Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to join a 74-bed skilled nursing facility in Skowhegan, Maine.
The facility provides a broad range of services, including post-hospital and short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care, giving you the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and build a well-rounded clinical skill set.
This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday with a weekend rotation. You'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team dedicated to helping patients regain function, maintain independence, and achieve meaningful rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and identify functional limitations
Develop individualized physical therapy plans of care
Provide skilled interventions based on patient needs and rehabilitation goals
Treat patients recovering from hospitalization as well as those receiving long-term or respite care
Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans as needed
Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and outcomes accurately
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, and safety
Collaborate with nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team
Promote safe mobility, independence, and quality of life
Qualifications
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree
Current Maine Physical Therapist license
Strong communication and clinical skills
Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing environment
Strong organizational and documentation skills
