What Does a Personal Care Aide Do?

As a Personal Care Aide, you'll provide compassionate, one-on-one care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Duties may include:

Assisting clients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and toileting
Providing companionship and emotional support
Helping with meal preparation and light housekeeping
Assisting with shopping and everyday activities
Supporting clients' comfort, dignity, and independence

Scheduling Requirement: Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday is required.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Six months experience in a comparable care aide job, current CNA license or completed first semester of nursing school
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid driver's license, current auto insurance and own reliable transportation
Two professional references
Successful completion of a background check
Current CPR certification preferred, but not required
