Position Summary

SOS, Serving Our Seniors is seeking caring and dependable Part-Time Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our growing team.

If you have a passion for helping seniors maintain their independence while making a meaningful difference every day, we'd love to meet you. This position provides one-on-one, non-medical care in clients' homes, allowing you to build lasting relationships while working a flexible schedule.

What You'll Do

As a Personal Care Assistant, you may:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when needed
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry
  • Provide medication reminders
  • Help clients safely transfer and ambulate
  • Accompany clients to appointments and errands
  • Assist with grocery shopping and other household errands
  • Support clients living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia
  • Observe and report changes in a client's condition
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the care management team
  • Help create a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience as a Caregiver, PCA, Home Health Aide (HHA), CNA, or similar role preferred
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and assist clients with mobility as needed

Schedule

  • Part-Time
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Day, evening, weekday, and weekend shifts available
  • Opportunities for additional hours based on client needs
