Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal for our client in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation, including pre-litigation and trial preparation. You will be responsible for managing case files, drafting legal documents, and serving as a vital liaison between clients, attorneys, medical providers, and the court.
Salary:
- $90,000-$110,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case management from intake through settlement or trial
- Prepare, draft, and file legal documents such as complaints, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and motions
- Manage deadlines and maintain litigation calendars
- Organize, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other evidence
- Coordinate with medical providers and clients to obtain necessary documentation
- Maintain and update case management systems with accurate, timely information
- Assist in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, trial binders, and witness lists
- Conduct legal research and investigation as needed
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Prepare settlement demand letters and assist in negotiations
- Attend depositions, mediations, and court proceedings as required
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in personal injury law
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and local/state court rules
- Proficiency in legal software and case management tools (e.g., Clio, Needles, MyCase, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
