Job Description

Bravera is hiring for a Personal Lines Insurance Associate - Front Desk in Bismarck, ND. This is a front-desk position that is responsible for aiding the Personal Lines Advisors and Account Executives in the retention, service, account development and product/service presentation to clients. Primary responsibility is to provide department assistance and customer service while working towards proficiency on Bravera practices, processes, and procedures.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

  1. Provide department assistance while aiding Bravera Advisors and Account Executives.
  2. Offer exceptional customer service.
  3. Build a proficient knowledge of Bravera practices, processes, and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide front desk reception support, including answering and routing calls, assisting customers, or directing traffic to the appropriate team members.
  2. Understand and educate existing clients about coverage, exclusions, and exposures.
  3. Work with Bravera Personal Lines Advisors, Account Executives, and customers to service Bravera Insurance customer accounts.
  4. Assists clients in making appropriate coverage changes.
  5. Maintains agency electronic files accurately and consistently; processes all incoming requests accurately and timely. Document all conversations in the automation system.
  6. Performs efficient rating with Applied Epic Quotes and works with carriers site quoting as applicable. Follows up in a timely manner.
  7. Follows agency workflows and procedures.
  8. Assists clients in submission of claims to carrier.
  9. Responsible for following renewal procedures for coverage analysis, review, and remarketing, if applicable.
  10. Actively refers clients to other departments or entities for solicitation. Makes each contact a marketing opportunity.
  11. Keeps current on carriers, product knowledge and trends in the marketplace.
  12. Utilizes ancillary insurance products.
  13. Will review endorsements, claims, audit information, etc. as referred from Account Technician in an efficient manner.
  14. Expand new and existing relationships by advising and recommending appropriate solutions that will exceed client expectations.
  15. Will ensure all applications and documents required by carriers are completed accurately and efficiently.
  16. Responsible for consistently collecting payments from all customers. Will input account data into the system as required. Will communicate company expectations regarding payments and cancellations to all customers.
  17. Ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  18. Communicates and has established working relationships with Bravera Insurance companies and carriers.
  19. Assists or completes other tasks as directed by agency management.
  20. Responsible for promoting the organization in the community through participation in various civic and

community events, activities, committees, and organizations.  Active participant in Business Development meetings and activities across all Bravera companies.

  1. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism regarding all employee and customer issues and information.
  2. Contribute to the overall success of the organization by leveraging opportunities as they relate to all entities of Bravera Holding Co.
  3. Adhere to all banking rules and regulations, including but not limited to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act. In addition, the employee will be proactive in the prevention of illegal activities, will vigilantly look for activities that may constitute any type of fraud including money laundering, and will report any suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

  • Valid Resident Insurance License within 45 days of employment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with post-secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum three years customer service experience OR an acceptable combination of education and
  • experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities.
  • PC proficiency in a windows environment required, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrates strong influencing skills that contribute to new client relationships.
  • Independently performs all job duties without sales direction.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional communication both verbally and written.
  • Will be required to drive a company vehicle with some overnight travel required. Must maintain a clear driving record in order to maintain coverage under Bravera’s vehicle insurance provider.
