$21.00 - $24.00 Hourly (Depending Upon Experience)
- $55,000 - $75,000 Average First Year Earnings
- Top Technician is making $145,000+
- Commission based upon new sales

An Orkin Commercial Pest Control Technician (often called an "Orkin Pro") is responsible for managing a designated service route to protect businesses—ranging from hospitality to food service—from pest infestations.
Core Responsibilities
- Inspection & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough inspections of commercial property interiors and exteriors to identify pest issues and entry points.
- Treatment Implementation: Develop and execute customized pest management plans using various methods, including traps, baits, and chemical applications.
- Route Management: Follow a daily schedule to ensure timely arrivals at customer locations within an assigned territory.
- Customer Communication: Meet with business owners or managers to explain service actions, recommend preventative solutions, and discuss additional protection needs.
- Documentation: Use a provided handheld device to accurately record all services, findings, and treatments performed at each site.
- Vehicle & Equipment Care: Safely operate a company-provided vehicle and maintain the cleanliness and readiness of all specialized equipment
Physical Requirements
- Mobility: Ability to climb ladders and balance, as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Confined Spaces: Comfort accessing tight areas such as crawl spaces, attics, and rooftops.
- Lifting: Regularly lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Safety Gear: Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include an OSHA-compliant respirator.
- Environment: Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications & Benefits

- Licensing: While Orkin provides training, candidates must ultimately pass state-required licensing exams for pest control.
