Pet Store Manager

The Pet Store Manager at Dawg Team is responsible for leading daily store operations, supporting staff and groomers, and ensuring an exceptional experience for every pet and pet parent. This role requires a hands-on leader who values professionalism, compassion, accountability, and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, safety, and organization
• Lead, train, and support in-store staff, groomers, and independent contractors
• Create and manage schedules, coverage, and daily workflow
• Maintain Dawg Team service standards across grooming, retail, and customer care
• Address customer concerns with professionalism, empathy, and solutions-focused communication
• Monitor inventory, place orders, and ensure product availability and presentation
• Ensure compliance with Dawg Team policies, safety procedures, and animal care standards
• Track performance metrics (sales, productivity, bookings, customer feedback) and report to ownership

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisory experience required (retail or pet industry preferred)
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for animal care, customer service, and team development
• Comfortable leading both employees and independent contractors

Work Schedule & Expectations

• Flexible scheduling, including weekends as needed
• Hands-on, on-site leadership role
