A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Pharmacist in West Valley City, UT ! The Pharmacist will be working for a respected healthcare organization and has career growth potential. See additional details below.
Pharmacist Highlights • The pay for this position is $63.00 per hour . • 40 hours per week with potential overtime. • Onsite position (100% onsite). • This position is a 90-day contract with the possibility of extension . • Shifts are 8.5 hours between 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM Monday–Friday , 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM Saturday , and 12:00 PM – 6:30 PM Sunday . • Schedule may vary weekly based on business needs and includes rotating weekends, holidays, and participation in an on-call rotation .
Responsibilities • Ensure accurate entry and verification of prescription orders. • Verify technician-entered orders and review refill and new prescription labels for accuracy and completeness. • Check drug packaging and labeling for accuracy prior to dispensing. • Maintain pharmacy security and ensure compliance with delivery schedules. • Prepare or supervise preparation of sterile IV drug products when required. • Maintain perpetual inventory for Schedule II controlled substances. • Ensure compliance with DEA regulations, HIPAA, and other applicable federal and state pharmacy laws. • Provide evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as required. • Support pharmacy operations in a fast-paced long-term care environment.
Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy . • Current Pharmacist license in good standing . • Strong knowledge of clinical interpretation including drug–drug, drug–disease, drug–food interactions, and allergies. • Ability to dispense medications accurately and efficiently. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of long-term care pharmacy regulations including OBRA, OSHA, and related federal and state regulations .
Benefits Available • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment. • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

- Provide pharmacist counseling for all new prescriptions to patients
- Supervise the work of pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns
- Assign projects to resident pharmacist and other pharmacy personnel
- Initiate and facilitate appropriate drug dosing and manage medication-related pharmacist
- Provide clinical pharmacy support and execute clinical pharmacy programs for all patient areas
- Prescribe interview or dispensing pharmacy interview
- Optimize pharmacy practice, pharmacy systems, and the medication-use process
- Enter prescription data into pharmacy software
- Perform individual patient pharmacy reviews to determine medication adherence and medication reconciliation
- Supervise pharmacy technicians in drug distribution and compounding tasks
- Supervise and direct pharmacy technicians
