Job Description

Pharmacist (Contract)

Location: Arizona 85542Pay: $2,594 – $2,905/weekSchedule: 4x10-hour shifts (variable days, evenings, nights, weekends)Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Hospital Pharmacy (ER coverage as needed)Note: Must be flexible to work across multiple areas and shifts

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Provide inpatient, outpatient, and ER pharmacy services, ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing
Process prescriptions efficiently, including controlled substances in compliance with laws and policies
Counsel patients on medications and provide clinical support to healthcare teams
Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient care and outcomes
Support pharmacy operations including inventory, dispensing systems, and workflow efficiency
Maintain current medication knowledge and adhere to regulatory and hospital standards
Participate in quality improvement, staff development, and community outreach initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD (Required)
Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License (Arizona preferred)
BLS Certification (Required)
ACLS & PALS required for inpatient/ER (PALS may be obtained on-site)
Minimum 5 years professional pharmacy experience (including hospital setting)
2 years management/leadership experience preferred
Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient hospital pharmacy required
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
