Position Overview:

Preferred: Experience in packaging and delivery management, with knowledge of logistics coordination, inventory flow, shipping processes, and delivery performance metrics.Performs physical, technical and clerical duties necessary to support pharmacy operations in a fast paced environment. Duties include packaging medications and supplies for delivery, testing and cleaning equipment, clerical tasks, and various other duties under the supervision of (a) registered pharmacist(s).

EDUCATION:

• HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

• 1 year recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Familiarity with MS Office application preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and drug nomenclature desirable.
• Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, motivation, flexibility, energy and creativity.
• Ability to form harmonious working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Collaborative and problem solving skills with customers and management.
• Organizational skills.
• Must be able to handle sensitive issues, conflict with or among others, respectively direct and reinforce staff efforts; effectively plan and organize and prioritize work, and to effectively solve unique problems as they arise or identify when to consult supervisor.
• Must be able to deal with a challenging work environment from time demands and conflicting priorities.
• Maintain a positive and professional image and demonstrate self-directed learning to meet professional development and/or license requirements.
• At orientation and annually thereafter, must be able to meet core competencies for position and area of specialty, as appropriate.
• Ability to be aware of surroundings and respond to emergency and/or urgent events.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Ability to communicate with possibly disoriented, combative patients.
• Ability to work in mentally and physically demanding environment.

Pay Range is $25.01 to $35.01 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
