Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the entire purchasing function as it relates to the acquisition and maintenance of Pharmacy stocks and supplies. Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory par levels and coordinating physical inventory of department. Assist department in Pharmacy Technician functions as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma Required.
- Pharmacy Tech License required
- Completion of formal training course as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable.
- The individual must possess good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Previous experience in Hospital or community Pharmacy is highly desirable.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Two (2) or more years Pharmacy buyer experience.
CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of department and hospital.
- Ability to interface effectively with personnel at a variety of levels.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain tact and composure under stress. Maintain working relationship with all vendors, customers, and coworkers.
Require Licenses/Certifications:
- Pharmacy Technician Certification required
Language Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate (Verbally and in writing) in English.
- Ability to write legibly (Clinical Areas).
- Additional languages desirable.
Must clear background and drug test required.
