Pharmacy Clerk

$14.50 an hour (with experience)

Seeking an energetic and personable person to work in our pharmacy department. As a clerk you will greet and assist patients picking up prescriptions, file and manage all prescription hard copies, and answer phones. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not be all inclusive.)

• Receive prescription and verify patient information, including current insurance information, allergies, etc.
• Input patient and prescription information into pharmacy software.
• Process, troubleshoot, and adjudicate prescription.
• Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
• Verify with pharmacist all prescriptions before being dispensed to patient.
• Sort, stock, label medication, and monitor inventory.
• Collect money for prescriptions and over-the-counter items.
• Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude at all times when working with customers.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Work with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regard to 340B.

Requirements:

• High school Diploma or GED
• 1 year experience preferred
