Title: Pharmacy ClerkWork schedule (days & time): M-F 1: 30-10PM Schedule to start. Candidate to be prepared for a schedule change after 4 weeks depending on business needs. Change would be a S-TH shift with week days remaining the same and Sunday shift to work 8: 30AM-5PM unless told otherwise by McKesson Management. Pay rate: $22.00 - $23.75/hr on W2Duration: 04/13/2026 to 10/09/2026Work location & type (Onsite / Hybrid / Remote): Onsite -- 970 Riverside Parkway Suite 20. W. Sacramento, CA 95605.Required vs. Preferred skills: Entry level but warehouse experience and experience working in a fast paced environment is ideal. The Pharmacy Clerk in the Central Fill Pharmacy packages prescriptions and prepares them for shipping.
The role entails several duties which include but not limited to:
packaging and shipping prescriptions, performing process audits, restocking and cleaning.
A Central Fill is production based which requires a pharmacy clerk to maintain consistent and continuous workflow to meet team goals and individual hourly production goals.
In addition, has ideal candidate has the ability to work productively either independently or as a team with acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks.

This is a junior entry level position where the incumbent is not required to have related work experience.

Limited understanding of technical aspects of job.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & TYPICAL EXPERIENCE OR EQUIV. COMBINATION:

Work is closely managed and reviewed regularly.
Follows specific, outlined, and detailed procedures.

CAREER LEVEL: B1Key Responsibilities (List the top five to seven essential responsibilities in priority order.)

Performs prescription packaging that entails handling HIPAA sensitive information and medication information.
Performs prescriptions sortation utilizing handheld scanners.
Completes the sortation process by scanning the prescription shipping label barcode and confirming the accurate location by scanning the location bin barcode.
After confirmation, the prescription is placed in the accurate bin.
Performs audits for closed bins: This entails performing a physical count of the closed tote and then comparing the physical count to the tote manifest systematic count.
If the count does not match communication to management is required to rectify the discrepancy. 10
Reading and analyzing application screens and pops up windows to ensure that all HIPAA sensitive information is being followed by standard operating procedures.
Performs chain of custody audit (COC): Records total bins created in the system, by location, for a production day.
Ensure that the total tote system count equals the physical count. Responsible for having the pickup driver sign for the correct tote count.
Performs prescription packaging that entails handling HIPAA sensitive information and medication information.
Performs prescriptions sortation utilizing handheld scanners.
Completes the sortation process by scanning the prescription shipping label barcode and confirming the accurate location by scanning the location bin barcode.
After confirmation, the prescription is placed in the accurate bin.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

Education/Training
High School Degree or equivalent experience

Business Experience

One year warehouse, retail or customer service setting
Basic computer skills
Interaction in a team environment where effective communication is needed to be successful

Specialized Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of federal and state HIPAA laws
Follow oral instruction
Perform continuous and repetitive work
Perform under stress (i.E. Time pressures)
Make judgments and/or decisions
Switch between various tasks without loss of efficiency or composure
Interact appropriately with people in a team environment
Basic mathematic skills
Operate a pallet jack
Operate a hand truck/dolly
Operate scanning units

Working Conditions:

Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.)
Large scale pharmacy/warehouse production environment
Exposure to cold conditions in refrigerated walk-in station (5%-7% time)
Occasional handling of environmentally hazardous medications

Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) Occasionally the following physical abilities will be needed:

Occasionally lift 10 to 20 lbs
Occasionally carry 10 to 20 lbs
Stooping, kneeling, crouching
Reaching overhead and wrist level

Frequently the following physical abilities will be needed

Utilizing ladders to retrieve supplies and products
Using firm grasps

Continuously the following physical abilities will be needed

Standing and walking
Reading and hearing
Reaching at table level
Using simple grasps
