Responsibilities:

The Pharmacy Consultant will support Barrow Wise's DHA project and perform the following duties:

Provide acquisition lifecycle support for the next-generation TRICARE pharmacy contract.
Perform advanced data analysis to inform optimization of the pharmacy benefit design and contract requirements.
Develop independent cost estimates for new contracts and contract requirements related to the pharmacy benefit.
Provide evaluation advisory services in support of the next generation TRICARE Pharmacy Contract, ensuring proposals meet commercial standards and best practices.
Identify opportunities to optimize the delivery of the pharmacy benefit.
Facilitate collaboration in the development of DHA policy guidance that is compliant with applicable laws, regs, and policy and reflects industry standards and practices.
Support communications about the TRICARE pharmacy benefit to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Develop new Tricare Manual
Performing complex modelling and analysis related to the pharmacy program
Provide expertise on best practices and innovative approaches in the following areas: PBMs, pharmaceutical companies, pharmaceutical distribution, specialty pharmacy, healthcare systems, clinical pharmacy practices, and management of government and commercial pharmacy benefits.
Work remotely.

An ideal candidate has the following:

U.S. Citizenship
Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Minimum of five (5) years related experience working in the pharmacy benefit space. Experience may include pharmacy benefits management operations and contracts, benefit design, pricing models, or clinical pharmacy practices.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Government administration of pharmacy benefits. DoD or VA experience is preferred.
Must possess an active pharmacy license
Excellent communication skills
