Duties Lead and supervise all pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations, including HIPAA privacy standards. Oversee medication dispensing processes, including compounding medications and IV infusion preparations, maintaining aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Manage inventory levels meticulously to prevent shortages or excess, utilizing pharmacy software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate tracking. Provide clinical pharmacy services such as patient assessment, medication therapy management, pain management strategies, and medical management consultations. Collaborate with healthcare teams on patient care plans, including pediatrics, critical care, acute care, and LTC (Long-Term Care) settings. Conduct patient service activities like immunizations, medication administration guidance, IV insertion, and patient education on physiology and anatomy concepts. Ensure staff compliance with medical terminology standards, HIPAA regulations, and aseptic techniques while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in patient safety and service quality.
