• Location: University of Kansas- Southlake Campus, Lenexa, KS
• Start Date: 04/12/2026
• End Date: 3 months with potential for hybrid work setup afterward
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (including 30-minute lunch)
• Hours per week: 40
• Employment Type: Temp-to-perm potential
• License/Certifications: High School diploma + 3 years of relevant experience or Associate’s degree + 1 year experience; pharmacy tech license is a bonus but not required
• Experience: 1+ years in insurance billing, revenue cycle, prior authorizations; EPIC experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Submit prior authorizations for prescriptions and specialty medications
• Complete medication assistance and grant funding applications for patients
• Contact insurance companies to follow up on claims and authorizations
• Assist with patient data collection and documentation in EPIC
• Ensure compliance with health facility policies and procedures
• Collaborate with pharmacy and healthcare team to provide accurate financial guidance
• Maintain excellent communication with patients and insurance providers

What You Need

• Required: High School diploma + 3 years of relevant work experience OR Associate’s degree + 1 year of relevant experience
• Preferred: Pharmacy technician license
• Key skills: Attention to detail, strong communication, proficiency in EPIC or similar EHR systems, professionalism, and reliability
