Job Description
Company Overview
Before we opened Strive Pharmacy we were unsatisfied with the current state of the pharmaceutical industry. Most of the current pharmaceuticals only offer a one size fits all approach and often come with unwanted and potentially dangerous side effects. We found that through compounding we can offer a much more personalized solution to medicine.
Through this we have been able to help patients get the results they are seeking for their personal needs. After years of working for corporate chains we took the risk and opened Strive Pharmacy. We are dedicated to providing a better experience for each customer and clinic that we work with. Come see the Strive difference.
Our Mission
We’re flipping the script with personal medicine. We strive to interrupt an industry that has been closed to personalized care, accessibility, and nuance for too long. We strive to shift a reactive view of self-care and ignite a proactive baseline-shifting approach to health for all. ‘The human element’ is our crux and catalyst, driving all that we do, whether we’re interacting with patients, providers, or practices. We’re here to partner with those ready for a change. More than a compounding pharmacy, we’re on a mission to positively disrupt healthcare as we know it. Strive is about more than medicine. Strive is about striving for the personal side of healthcare.
Job Description: Product Owner – Clinical Systems & Innovation
This position requires an active AZ Pharmacy license or AZ Pharmacy Technician license.
Location: Remote/Hybrid
Department: Operations - Tech Strategy
Reports to: Pharmacy Product Manager
The Opportunity
Strive Pharmacy is undergoing a period of rapid growth and digital evolution. We are seeking Product Owners to lead the development of proprietary internal tools that sit at the intersection of clinical excellence and operational scale.
In this role, you will not just be managing software; you will be architecting the digital backbone of our specialized pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for defining and executing a roadmap that optimizes our unique laboratory workflows, enhances provider-patient interactions, and ensures our quality standards remain the gold standard in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Orchestration: Partner with clinical and lab leadership to design and implement highly specialized digital workflows that increase throughput without sacrificing quality.
- Internal Roadmap Management: Own the lifecycle of internal proprietary tools, from initial discovery and requirement gathering to deployment and iteration.
- Data-Driven Quality Control: Develop integrated systems to track and automate clinical quality gates, ensuring 100% adherence to internal and external safety protocols.
- Stakeholder Bridge: Act as the primary liaison between the "Front of House" (Patient/Provider Experience), the "Back of House" (Lab Operations), and the Engineering team.
- Agile Leadership: Lead the development squad through sprints, maintaining a high-velocity backlog focused on high-impact operational "unlocks."
Specialized Focus: Clinical & Lab Excellence
Because Strive operates in a high-complexity environment (custom compounding medications and prescriptions), this role requires a deep focus on:
- Precision Protocol Integration: Designing systems that manage complex clinical formulations and precise ingredient-level logic.
- Regulatory Infrastructure: Ensuring all internal digital systems are natively compliant with USP , , and standards, as well as HIPAA and state-level requirements.
- Hardware-Software Synergy: Overseeing the integration of clinical lab equipment (balances, scanners, and sensors) with our internal data environments to ensure real-time accuracy.
- Traceability & Logistics: Developing advanced tracking mechanisms for high-value raw materials and finished specialized preparations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- The "HealthTech" Pedigree: 3–5+ years of Product Experience in a clinical, laboratory, or highly regulated healthcare environment.
- An active Arizona pharmacy license or pharmacy technician license.
- Operational Intuition: You have a knack for looking at a manual, "paper-heavy" process and envisioning a streamlined digital version.
- Technical Breadth: Experience with API-first architecture and integrating physical hardware with software environments.
- Complex Logic Management: Experience managing products that involve heavy mathematical logic, dosage calculations, or complex inventory matrices.
- Communication: The ability to move seamlessly between a sterile lab environment to a high-energy engineering stand-up, and effectively tailor your communication to each audience
Why Strive?
- Influence: You are building the proprietary engine that will power our growth for the next decade.
- Complexity: You will be solving some of the most complex logic problems in the pharmaceutical space.
Mission: Your work ensures that patients receive the exact, personalized medications they need to live better lives.
