This position will have temporary training in Center City, Philadelphia. But will primarily report to the Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital - 1255 S Cedar Crest Blvd, Allentown, PA 18103. The Pharmacy Purchasing Analyst supports enterprise-wide pharmaceutical procurement through strategic sourcing, drug shortage mitigation, and supply continuity planning. This role leverages operational analytics and financial forecasting to optimize inventory management, support formulary initiatives, and identify cost-saving opportunities, ensuring high-quality patient care while reducing the overall cost of care across the organizationJob Description
Job Duties
- Pharmaceutical procurement, shortage management, operational analytics, and financial forecasting activities to ensure patient care and reduce cost of care across the enterprise.
- Design, develop, and implement cost-efficient pharmaceutical procurement procedures and methods across the Enterprise.
- Compile, monitor, and analyze data to locate areas of improvement in the pharmacy and supply chain processes to develop methods to increase compliance with the 340B Federal Drug Discount Program and optimize the financial benefit of the health system.
- Work with local pharmacy teams and analysts to make strategic and efficient recommendations and execute actions for procurement and savings opportunities.
- Assist with the development of performance metrics, dashboard reporting, and an operations performance management process that ensures real-time understanding of risks and results.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED graduate or equivalent education.
- Background in pharmacy operations, engineering, or analytics + 0-3 years of experience in a relevant role
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, analytics, or any health science related field
- Inpatient Pharmacy Technician certification
- ACE-340B - Apexus Certified Expert-340B - Apexus
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working in and maintaining databases such as Microsoft Excel & Access strongly preferred
- Experience with 340B is preferred
