Job Description:

Pharmacists completing a pharmacy residency at CoxHealth will become leaders with a commitment to the pharmacy profession. As members of a multidisciplinary health care team working to achieve Cox Health’s mission statement, residents learn accountability for utilizing evidence based medicine, conducting medication reviews, and managing disease states. In addition, they will provide health-care education to providers, patients, and community members. Residents gain project management skills through team leading and committee participation. Additionally, residents must complete a formal resident project designed to implement or improve a medication-related program.

• Education:▪ Required: Graduation from an ACPE Accredited School of Pharmacy. Completion of an ASHP Accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency.• Experience:▪ None specified• Skills:▪ Individual would spend approximately 80% of the time with patient-centered responsibilities throughout the health system based upon the specialized practice setting, and 20% completing committee and special project responsibilities.▪ Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, other computer systems software, copiers, fax machines and other office equipment as necessary.• Licensure/Certification/Registration:▪ RequiredPreferred: Registered with Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist or eligible for registration and licensure within 90 days of hire▪ Preferred: Medication Therapy Services certification through the Board of Pharmacy in the State of Missouri within 90 days of hire▪ Preferred: Immunization delivery certification▪ Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire
