Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Retail Supervisor to oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure high-quality patient care in a retail setting. This role is responsible for supervising staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing workflow efficiency, and driving continuous improvement within the department.
Essential Functions:
Direct, manage, and supervise daily administrative operations to ensure high-quality service consistent with professional, regulatory, and governmental standards.
Develop operational and financial metrics, tracking systems, and quality-improvement processes aligned with organizational goals.
Lead the creation, implementation, and evaluation of departmental and service-related policies and procedures.
Assess program and workflow effectiveness and lead continuous process-improvement efforts.
Supervise and develop staff, providing timely feedback and leveraging HR policies to support professional growth and performance standards.
Oversee computer-based information and dispensing systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and optimal performance.
Manage purchasing and inventory functions to ensure cost-effective inventory control and availability of pharmaceuticals and related products.
Support staff development by evaluating learning needs and coordinating training opportunities.
Prepare monthly operational reports and identify areas for improvement or concern.
Participate in departmental orientation, training, and quality-assurance initiatives.
Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and identify training needs with leadership.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Five (5) years of professional pharmacy experience, including at least two (2) years in a management or supervisory role
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred (PGY1 residency preferred)
Current and valid Pharmacist license (Arizona license preferred)
Authorized to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred
BLS certification (required within 30–90 days of hire)
Strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills
