Pharmacy Tech - Part Time

In this role you will be:

• Prepare, label, and package medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Deliver medications to nursing units and patient care areas in a timely manner
• Accurately enter and maintain medication orders in the pharmacy information system
• Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations according to USP standards (including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and TPN, if applicable)
• Maintain accurate medication inventory, restock automated dispensing machines, and conduct periodic inventory audits
• Assist in medication reconciliation and billing processes
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and state/federal pharmacy regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pharmacy work areas
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent required
• EXPERIENCE: Comparable experience in healthcare setting will be considered
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) obtained within 2 years of hire and maintain certification by meeting PTCB standards required.
• Must complete registration with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy within 6 months of hire.
