Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Tech to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required. - Functions as Lead Technician in assigned area of work.
- Actively participates in the Quality Process, including improvement initiatives.
- Actively participates in policy, procedure, and standard work development.
- Supports leadership to drive Employee and Customer Engagement
- Or primary responsibility is to prepare sterile hazardous (ie Oncology)
- Or operates in lead administrative technician position within the department.
- Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
- Performs other functions as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB
- Certified Pharmacy Technician-NHA
- At least two years experience in pharmacy
- Completion of Crucial Conversations, Appreciative Coaching, and Influencer training for Lead Technicians and Lead Administrative Technician
- Successful completion of PHS Sterile Products Compounding Competency and Hazardous Medication Training for all employees preparing sterile, hazardous medications.
