Pharmacy Technician Highlights • The pay for this position is $17.50 per hour. • Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM • Onsite position • This position is a contract assignment. • Climate-controlled distribution center environment • Phone interview process
Responsibilities • Selects, picks, packages, and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescription orders under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with specialty pharmacy guidelines and pharmacy laws. • Accurately counts medications utilizing manual processes and automated counting devices. • Follows proper hand sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices. • Performs Operations Assistant responsibilities as needed. • Prepares and restocks filling stations with medications and supplies. • Cleans and maintains pill counting devices, equipment, and general work areas. • Assists with record keeping and inventory control processes. • Escalates issues outside defined scope of responsibility.
Requirements • Active and unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida (required). • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED (required). • Minimum six (6) months of work experience as a Pharmacy Technician. • Basic understanding of pharmacy law, drug names, medical terminology, and pharmacology. • Ability to accurately utilize computer applications for data entry in line with production standards. • Preferred: Three (3) months of experience in a pick/pack/ship environment. • Preferred: Three (3) months of computer work experience. • Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per shift. • Ability to repeatedly lift 5–10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 30–50 lbs. • Ability to work around moving conveyor belts and automated machinery.
