Job Title: Pharmacy Technician – Prescription Fulfillment
• Pay: $20/hour (Pay increase contingent on permanent hire) • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; occasional weekend shifts (hours adjusted as needed) • Job Type: Contract-to-hire, high potential for permanent hire • Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15275
Job Summary
A-Line Staffing is seeking Licensed Pharmacy Technicians to support prescription fulfillment and inventory operations within a large, nationally recognized retail pharmacy environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring proper handling of medications, and supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations. You will work closely with pharmacy leadership and team members to execute inventory best practices, uphold compliance standards, and ensure the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pharmacy inventory management, including receiving, counting, ordering, and processing returns
- Ensure all deliveries are accurately scanned, verified, and properly recorded in inventory systems
- Maintain accurate on-hand inventory levels through cycle counts and system validation
- Assist with prescription fulfillment processes and ensure proper handling of medications
- Coordinate with pharmacists and leadership to maintain and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Train and support team members on inventory systems and best practices
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies such as shortages, overages, damaged goods, and vendor errors
- Process vendor returns, recalls, and inter-store transfers in compliance with pharmacy regulations
- Maintain inventory accuracy across stockroom, overstock, and pharmacy storage areas
- Support asset protection processes and ensure compliance with state and local regulations
- Assist with physical inventory preparation and auditing activities
- Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and return documentation
Qualifications
- Must hold PA Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
- Experience with inventory management in a pharmacy or warehouse setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems and inventory tracking tools is a plus
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance standards preferred
