Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join a growing pharmacy team in Vinton, VA . In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to accurately fill prescriptions, assist with medication preparation, and support daily pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Assist with preparing and packaging medications , including IV preparation when required
- Enter prescription and billing information into the pharmacy system to support reimbursement and claims processing
- Assist the pharmacist in the final verification process , including stating medication details for review and packaging medications after approval
- Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers
- Maintain strong inventory management practices , including:
- Receiving and rotating medications and supplies
- Tracking lot numbers and expiration dates
- Assisting with physical inventory counts
- Help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment
- Assist with equipment checks to ensure proper calibration, safety, and cleanliness
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and technicians to support daily workflow and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification or registration (as required by state regulations)
- Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Experience with prescription processing, medication preparation, or pharmacy inventory
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling medications
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
