Pharmacy Technician

As a Pharmacy Technician at Arnot Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our Pharmacy Department and ensuring safe, accurate, and timely medication services for our patients. Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will perform a variety of technical duties that do not require the professional judgment of a pharmacist. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced healthcare environment where attention to detail and a commitment to patient care are essential.

Your Schedule

• Full-time, hourly position

• Day/evening rotational shift

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

• Accurately enter and maintain medication orders in the computer system

• Prepare and label medications for dispensing, including sterile IV admixtures

• Manage controlled substances in compliance with state and federal regulations

• Repackage bulk medications and maintain appropriate documentation

• Perform quality assurance inspections to ensure proper medication storage

• Restock floor stock, emergency boxes, and code carts as needed

• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and record-keeping

• Provide courteous and timely communication to patients, staff, and care teams

• Support training, orientation, and quality improvement initiatives within the department

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred

• 1-3 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting strongly preferred

• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer systems helpful

• Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift objects, and perform physical tasks as needed
