This role requires an active national Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) along with an Ohio Pharmacy Technician license. You'll work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to maintain high accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment, helping to ensure patients receive their medications without delay.What You'll Do As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Interpreting and entering new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system with precision.*
- Reading and translating physician medication orders accurately.*
- Clarifying prescription details with healthcare facilities when necessary.*
- Consulting with pharmacists regarding clinical flags or missing information.*
- Maintaining high speed and accuracy while processing a large volume of prescriptions.*
- Stocking, labeling, assembling, and filling medications as needed.*
- Communicating effectively with healthcare facilities about medication questions and logistics.*
- Supporting pharmacy operations within the scope permitted by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
- Ohio Pharmacy Technician License (Registered or Certified).*
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT).*
- A high school diploma or GED preferred.*
- Experience working in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy is a plus.*
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.*
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.*
- Physical ability to lift and move pharmacy supplies as needed.*
- Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen and background check.
