Pharmacy Technician- Heights Area, Houston, TX
Location: Houston, TX- Heights Area
Pay Rate:$19.00-$22.00/hour
Dean's Professional Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join a busy outpatient clinic in the Heights area of Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a registered Pharmacy Technician who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment and is confident supporting pharmacists, clinical staff, and patients with accurate and efficient pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations in a busy outpatient clinic setting.
- Prepare, fill, package, and label medications under the direction of a pharmacist.
- Receive, process, and accurately document medication orders and prescriptions.
- Assist with medication inventory, stocking, organization, and storage.
- Monitor medication supplies and notify appropriate staff when replenishment is needed.
- Receive and assist with verifying medication deliveries.
- Process patient medication requests and provide professional assistance with pharmacy-related questions.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and appropriately direct questions to pharmacy or clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established pharmacy procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining an organized, efficient, and patient-centered environment.
- Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Active registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required.
- Proficiency with Epic and Microsoft Outlook required.
- Strong math, reading, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy outpatient clinic environment.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach.
