Job ID 23346 – Pharmacy Technician

Location: Clearwater, FL 33763 – This position is onsite

Pay: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour

Type: Contract to hire

Schedule: Must be open to department hours and rotating weekends

Mon-Sun, 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Most likely will be assigned to 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM shift or similar

Typically assigned only (1) weekend day every other weekend

Training schedule:

9:00 AM to 5:30 PM for approximately (2) weeks

Job description:

Perform pharmacy workflow tasks including data entry, medication filling, inventory management, and shipping with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced, same-day fulfillment environment
Dispense and package medications under pharmacist supervision while adhering to safety standards and working within a low-risk formulary (~500 medications, no controls or compounding)
Maintain organized and accurate inventory, including proper labeling, storage, and monitoring of medication levels
Process prescription refills, cancellations, and updates promptly with high attention to detail and awareness of look-alike/sound-alike medications
Work in a supportive, team-oriented culture with no direct customer or patient interaction and no insurance-related tasks (no billing, prior authorizations, or insurance calls)

Requirements:

Must have (1) year of related experience or coursework
Must have active registered Pharm Tech license in State of Florida
Must be able to work weekend rotations
Must have excellent written and verbal professional communication skills
Must be MS Office proficient
High school diploma or equivalent
Background check required
