Job DescriptionThe ultimate goal of the Pharmacy Technician in data entry is to enhance the guest experience by facilitating refill and prescription requests for guests. The Pharmacy Technician will take responsibility for the following including, but not limited to: answering incoming and prescription calls, processing orders, providing an exceptional experience for guests. The Pharmacy Technician will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and will cross train to back-up other pharmacy positions. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSet goals for accomplishing responsibilities within appropriate timeframes
Engage in weekly staff meetings
Complete assigned reading & submit book reports by the last day of the month
Continually seek ways to improve processes
Answer incoming and transferred prescription calls
Obtain refill/prescription requests from guests
Process prescription orders in PK CompounderRequest doctor authorization for prescriptions as needed
Check Hotze Pharmacy e-mailAssist in the routine operation of the Script Pro robotic dispensing system
Utilize Mail Order Manager for guest checkout and tracking purposes Knowledge & Skill RequirementsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and WordConfidentiality of all guest information
Excellent written and verbal skills
Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Well organized with great attention to detail
Maintains a positive attitude with guests and team members
Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
High school diploma
Certified Pharmacy Technician – registered in the state of Texas Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Must have good eyesight to view computer monitor and phone
