Overview

The Pharmacy Technician position, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department not requiring the professional judgment of the pharmacist.

Signing Bonus:

This position will be granted a $1000 bonus to be paid upon completion of 6 months of service with the company.

Our scheduling includes rotating 1st and 2nd shifts, with a minimum of two closing shifts (1:30pm - 10pm) per week—unless we find a dedicated individual who prefers evenings. Associates working 2nd shift will be eligible for a shift differential in pay.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience working in a high-volume pharmacy or equivalent setting required.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs.
  • Experience working with online claims processing system preferred.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and an aptitude for working with other health care professionals.

Essential Accountabilities

  • Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department not requiring the professional judgment of the pharmacist.
  • Maintain patient records.
  • Set up, package, and label medication doses.
  • Perform designated tasks regarding processing of equipment and supply orders, and preparation of sterile products.
  • Package and ship medications.
  • Setup and optimization of delivery routes.
  • Maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical safety hazards and drug handling.
  • Notify Pharmacist staff of dispensing, storage, packaging, and/or related issues.
  • Proper rotation of stock, supplies, packaging materials, and shipping supplies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the registered and packaging space.
  • Must function in strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines with deviation approved by the supervising pharmacist.

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience. 

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
